Nina was born in Orel-City, near Moscow, in Russia. She grew up in a creative home, where her father was a well known graphic artist and illustrator.
Nina completed a Masters of Fine Art degree at the Pedagogical State University in her native city. Upon her graduation, she moved to Baku and immersed herself in the vibrant artistic movement of the Caucasian Art School.
In addition to exploring a variety of painting styles, Nina worked on various urban design projects. She was a leading force behind the Barpachy state design company. Her artistic style is influenced by such Russian masters as Martiros Saryan, Minas Avetisyan, and Niko Pirosmani.
Nina moved to Canada in 2000 and has since dedicated herself to painting the bright, colourful still lives and landscapes we see today. Her paintings are a celebration of all the positive and beautiful experiences life has to offer.
