Picasso | Masters : Past and Future, 16-24 May

26 March 2015

Entering its fifth year at Gallery Rouge, the seminal 'Modern Masters' series of exhibitions curated by gallery owner Kuldip Chohan is eagerly anticipated for the opportunity to experience and acquire world class works from the 20th Century.

This May will witness the showcase evolve to include contemporary visionaries, whose progression in recent years has cultivated an international audience.  'Picasso | Masters: Past and Future' seeks to provoke a compelling dialogue between historical icons and the next generation, acknowledging the inspiration shared by these artists.  Reflecting the manner in which many clients assemble their collections, the original sketches, lithographs and signed prints of figurehead painter Pablo Picasso as well as such as Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse will hang alongside emerging independent talent.

A thriving group of emerging and mid-career artists demonstrating traditional craftsmanship fused with an innovative approach are championed by Gallery Rouge. Collectors will be exposed to the soft expressive figures of Iranian painter Hessam Abrishami as well as the elegant pallet-knife cityscapes of international success Kal Gajoum.  Making his debut, fresh from commissions for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as the Royal Mail, Fadi Mikhail reveals a narrative driven series of original works inspired by cult book Swallows and Amazons.

Recognising that it is possible to collect fine art at any value, prices commence at £600 and will cater to resources exceeding £35k. 'Picasso | Masters: Past and Future' at Gallery Rouge offers an unrivalled opportunity to select artworks of international provenance from the last 150 years in the peaceful setting of Harpenden village, Hertfordshire.
