Neil Buchanan Returns to Gallery Rouge Harpenden

14 November 2012

Gallery Rouge the prestigious, innovative and exciting art destination in Hertfordshire for the 21st century art lover, will play host to a unique four day originals show at its newest gallery in Harpenden with the work of Neil Buchanan, the multi-award winning fine artist, producer and creator of the twice BAFTA winning TV programme ART ATTACK.

The four day original event from Friday 30 November to Monday 3 December (from 10am to 5.30pm) will be held in Gallery Rouge, High Street, Harpenden and will herald the UK and world-wide debut of Neil Buchanan's original art. Added to this, Neil Buchanan – who attracted six million viewers to his art programme over 17 years and enjoyed a global success with Art Attack – will appear at a Private Collectors' Evening on Friday 30 November from 7-9pm, which will be by invitation only (call 01582 760332 or email [email protected] to request an invite).

The Neil Buchanan Originals Event will feature the extraordinary original work from Neil Buchanan's Hope Street and Back Street Games which, until now, have only been released as a collection of limited edition prints. The 12 framed originals that make up Hope Street exquisitely depict "the story of childhood" and are painted in acrylics, whilst the five originals that form the Back Street Games feature "the alternative little 'lympics in athlete's alley" and have been vibrantly created in mixed media acrylic and ink pen. Alongside these 17 works of art, which have already started selling ahead of the exhibition, a number of framed original pastels and line drawings will be shown alongside the most popular and best-selling limited edition works from Hope Street and Back Street.

The prolific TV artist who generated thousands of ideas over 500 series, has decided to release just two collections of original art, making his fine art originals all the more collectable and desirable for art lovers looking to acquire a truly original work of art.

Visionary owner of the two Gallery Rouge art destinations in Herts, Kuldip Chohan, said: "We feel incredibly fortuitous for Gallery Rouge to have been chosen to debut Neil Buchanan's original work. Although Neil was incredibly prolific during his time on Art Attack, the fact that he will only be releasing two collections makes his fine art originals even more highly prized and it will be the proverbial icing on the cake to have Neil in the gallery on Friday 30 November to talk to art lovers about the inspiration behind the two brilliant collections."

Gallery Rouge Harpenden is located at 78 High Street, Harpenden, Herts AL5 2SP and the gallery will be open during the four day originals event from 10am-5.30pm each day. For collectors interested in attending the Private Collectors Evening on Friday 30 November from 7-9pm guests should request an invitation from the gallery on 01582 760332 or email [email protected].
