"With this picture I've tried to achieve a more contemporary feel by using only negative colours (black, white and grey) for the walls and floor and then using strong vibrant colour in the paintings and figures - this gave me a strong clean cut look that I was after. By having only two figures in this picture the main attention is drawn to the Salvador Dali sofa and the Hockney painting."
